Alternate interior angles

Fact-checked:

The angles which appear inside and opposite sides of transversal are called alternate interior angles. They are also simply called as alternate angles.

When lines are cut by a transversal, angles are formed internally and the angles which appear on opposites of the transversal are known as alternate interior angles (or) alternate interior angles (or) simply alternate angles.

Total two pairs of alternate interior angles are formed geometrically when two lines are intersected by their transversal.

1
alternate interior angles of parallel lines transversal

Learn the formation and property of alternate interior angles, formed by parallel lines and their transversal line.
