The product of the determinant of a square matrix by ignoring the entries in the row and column of a specific entry and the negative one raised to the power of sum of the number of row and the number of column of that entry, is called the cofactor of an entry.

Introduction

The cofactor of an entry is a quantity and it is obtained by the product of the following two factors.
